Flooding causes disruption to road and rail travel
Billesley PoliceStorms across the West Midlands have led to more travel disruption.
Heavy rain flooded Hall Green station, causing disruption on the line between Kidderminster/Birmingham Moor Street and Whitlocks End/Stratford-upon-Avon. Passengers were able to use their tickets on bus services, West Midlands Railway said.
A flood warning for the Spadesbourne Brook in Bromsgrove was issued and the Met Office said a yellow warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms was in place. Police issued notices for drivers to be careful if out in the rain saying there was a lot of surface water.
The disruption follows a few days of heavy rain in the region.
Small Heath PoliceEarlier this week, 55 homes in the Perry Barr area experienced internal flooding, with flooding also occurring in Stafford and Burntwood.
A flood warning on the River Stour in Worcestershire has been downgraded to an alert.
