Travel warning over city road closure for works
Cumberland CouncilDrivers have been warned about possible travel disruption as a road is to close for repairs.
Resurfacing works in Brunton Avenue, which leads off the busy A69 in Carlisle, are to start on Monday, with the street to shut for five days between 08:00 and 17:00 BST, Cumberland Council said.
It forms part of the council's £27.3m investment into improving Cumberland's roads, the authority said.
The council said there could be delays to the works, which would be subject to weather and site conditions.
Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and emergency service vehicles would be allowed in Brunton Avenue.
On-street parking would not be permitted during working hours, with diversions for motorists in place.
