Two teenagers have been arrested and charged after armed police attended an incident in Edinburgh.

Police were called to a disturbance on Sunday at about 18:20 on Dundee Street. The two 17-year-olds were later traced on Slateford Road.

Officers are understood to have forced a private hire taxi to stop, then removed the two teenagers from the vehicle. There were no injuries during the incident and subsequent arrests.

Due to their age they have been reported to the relevant authorities.
