Weekend traffic restrictions for wastewater works
GoogleMotorists have been warned of a return to traffic restrictions on a busy route into the Isle of Man's capital over the weekend as a wastewater works refurbishment project is completed.
Manx Utilities said temporary traffic lights would be in place 24-hours a day on Saturday and Sunday on the road that links the south of the island with Douglas.
There has been significant disruption on the stretch of road since the project began in February, including full closures of the carriageway at times on safety grounds.
Although the work had originally been scheduled to be carried out over three days, daytime restrictions on the road on Friday have been cancelled.
Manx Utilities said the work would mark the final weekend of disruption on the road required to complete the river bridge works, with all further work on the project set be carried out off‑highway and completed before the TT.
