A 77-year-old cyclist who was involved in a crash with a van has died almost three weeks after the incident.

It happened at a staggered junction on the A134 near Sudbury, Suffolk, on 5 May.

The cyclist, named by police as Ian Simpson from Hartest, near Bury St Edmunds, died on Sunday after being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

A 41-year-old man from Essex, who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug-driving, was released under investigation pending the outcome of blood tests.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses, including any other motorists who were driving near the junction with Mills Lane at about 14:30 BST on 5 May.
