Hoosiers among acts for new city centre festival
LDRSThe headline acts for a city centre music festival in Bradford's new market have been announced.
Live at the Courtyard will be held at Darley Street Market from 14-16 August, with noughties indie band The Hoosiers, Leeds rock band Pulled Apart by Horses and X Factor star Lucy Spraggan all due to perform.
The Hoosiers, who are known for hits Goodbye Mr A and Worried About Ray, will headline the final day of the ticketed event.
A spokesperson for Bradford Markets said there would be outdoor bars and food stalls, with support acts soon to be announced.
"We're looking forward to welcoming these three amazing acts to the Courtyard at Darley Street Market this summer," they said.
LDRSPulled Apart by Horses will headline the Friday, with singer-songwriter Spraggan taking to the stage on Saturday.
Darley Street Market, run by Bradford Council, opened last summer – replacing the city centre's Oastler and Kirkgate Markets, both of which are due to be demolished.
As well as three floors of stalls, the venue also features a large courtyard that has hosted outdoor markets, football fan zones and wrestling events, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
