Family to take murder victims' ashes to Argentina
SuppliedThe stepmother of a teenager who murdered three of his family members has said she wants to travel to Argentina to scatter the victims' ashes.
Nicholas Prosper killed his mother Juliana Falcon, 48, his brother Kyle, 16, and 13-year-old sister Giselle, at their home in Luton.
Reka Prosper said she and husband Raymond Prosper wanted to repatriate Falcon's ashes in her home country, where Falcon lived until her 20s.
"To be able to do that for her [would be] a really big honour," said Reka Prosper, speaking to the BBC for the first time since what happened in September 2024.
She said in one of their last conversations, Falcon told her she was saving money so she could visit family in South America and take the children with her.
"[It is] something that we really, really wish to do," added Reka Prosper.
Raymond ProsperSpeaking to BBC Three Counties Radio presenter Justin Dealey, Reka Prosper said the last two years had been "extremely hard" for the family.
But she said the support from the community, including from her step-children's friends, had given a "sense of healing".
"To see how many people love them, to know that they were good and they were kind," she explained.
The family celebrated what would have been Falcon's 50th and Kyle's 18th birthdays by getting together for a picnic and playing sports.
"We are ready to try and navigate our lives and try to put some normality back into it - if there is such a thing after something like that happens."
Press AssociationReka Prosper said her husband was a "broken man" and one of the things that had reduced him to tears was realising he would not see Giselle in "her prom dress" or "walk her down the aisle".
"He loved his children so much, they were his absolutely everything," she said.
"When you lose your kid, you lose a part of you - but I am proud of him, he has been doing loads of charitable work since."
Raymond ProsperReka Prosper said the majority of the ashes had already been scattered in England, but by taking the remainder to Argentina, she felt it would bring closure to relatives there who could not attend the funeral.
"It is time for us to move on and we will always remember them, it will always hurt but equally, everyone has a life to lead and we will do that."
She has launched an online fundraising appeal, welcoming donations to help fund the trip.
Nicholas Prosper was given a life sentence at Luton Crown Court in March 2025, which carried a minimum of 49 years in prison.
