Woman charged over fatal Paisley flat fire

A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 38-year-old woman following a fire in a ground-floor-flat in Paisley a year ago.

Emergency services were called to the blaze in the town's Barterholm Road at about 23:00 on 6 April 2025.

Seven people were taken to hospital. The woman died from her injuries three days later.

Police said a 50-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Saturday.
