A large fire has broken out on the Malvern Hills.

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Fire and Rescue Service said it received a call at 16:31 BST and sent four fire engines and two off-road vehicles.

The fire was affecting the side of the hills closest to Malvern and no-one appeared to have been hurt.

At 18:00 BST the fire service said it was still burning, but heavy rain was likely to assist attempts to put it out.

West Mercia Police was also called and has been managing traffic in the area.
