Police have appealed for information after the small fire at Le Coie Flats

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fire in the roof of a block of flats.

Police are appealing for information after the small fire at Le Coie Flats, St Helier, which happened on Monday at about 06:30 BST.

Emergency services attended the scene after a report of smoke on the roof, which prompted several road closures while emergency services responded.

The fire was located on the roof of the building and was quickly brought under control, the fire service said.

It said there were no reports of injuries, and no residents were evacuated - with all roads having since been re-opened.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire and anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
