The open day will be held on 13 June

An open day giving visitors the chance to look behind the scenes of a theatre will be held in Hull next month.

There will be backstage tours during the open day, on Saturday 13 June, with the opportunity to see the inner workings of both Hull Truck Theatre and the Albemarle Music Centre.

There will also be drama workshops, arts and crafts, face painting and a soft play area.

Emma Lightowler, of Hull Truck Theatre, said visitors would be able to experience "all the bits we never see or appreciate when we are just watching a show".
