Worker suffers life-threatening injuries at pub
GoogleA man has suffered life-threatening injuries while carrying out work at a pub in Worcestershire.
Police and paramedics were called to the Park Gate Inn on Stourbridge Road, Kidderminster, at about 12:40 BST on on Wednesday.
The 62-year-old was found in a critical condition and needed life support treatment before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
The Health and Safety Executive said they were aware of the case and were working with West Mercia Police.
In a statement, the force said: "Emergency services were called to The Park Gate Inn on Stourbridge Road in Kidderminster around 12.40pm yesterday following an accident involving a man carrying out work at the address.
"A 62-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries. The Health and Safety Executive have been informed."
