Man arrested after girl, 9, hit by a van in Dundee

A man has been arrested after a nine-year-old girl was hit by a van in Dundee.

Police were called to Stobsmuir Road in the Stobswell area of the city at about 13:30 on Wednesday.

The girl was taken to hospital for treatment and a 52-year-old man, who was driving the van, was arrested over an alleged road traffic offence.

A police spokesperson said inquires were ongoing.
