A cyclist has died weeks after she was seriously injured in a collision with a bus.

Police said the woman, who was in her 30s, had been cycling on Prestbury Road, near to the junction with Whaddon Road, in Cheltenham when she collided with the bus at about 08:50 GMT on 16 March.

She died from her injuries on Tuesday at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

The male bus driver was not injured and there were no passengers on board at the time, police said.

Gloucestershire Police said the woman's family were being supported by specially trained officers and it was continuing to investigate.
