Surrey rape investigation sparks witness appeal
Surrey PolicePolice have released CCTV images of two potential witnesses as part of an investigation into a reported rape in Surrey.
The incident happened in Haslemere between 20:30 BST on 23 June and 01:00 on 24 June.
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of rape and has been released on conditional bail, Surrey Police said.
A spokesperson for the force said officers had identified two potential witnesses, who travelled on a Portsmouth Direct line train and disembarked at Liss in Hampshire, who may be able to help with their inquiries.
Det Insp Simon Driver stressed the two women were not suspected of any criminality, but may have information that could assist the investigation.
"We would particularly like to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of the junction of Weydown Road and Wey Hill during this time," Driver said.
