Jacob Leslie Simcock pleaded guilty to multiple offences against two women

A man has admitted raping and strangling a woman before threatening to run her over.

Jacob Leslie Simcock carried out two attacks on the victim, one of which happened at a house last year, and said he would release explicit videos of her, Staffordshire Police said.

The 35-year-old also strangled and stalked another woman, the force added, before telling her he would share indecent images of her and threatening to petrol bomb her house.

Simcock, of Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and two of intentional strangulation during a hearing at the city's Crown Court on Tuesday.

He also admitted two counts of threatening to share a photograph or film of a person in an intimate state, one of engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour and one of stalking involving fear of violence.

Police said the woman who was raped told officers Simcock tried to stop her from contacting anyone and told her he would "batter" her and run her over.

It later emerged he had filmed both of the attacks and the survivor was unaware the videos existed at the time, the force added.

'Great deal of pain'

A police spokesperson said Simcock also tried to convince the second victim to tell officers she was lying and would call her using a withheld number while she was at the police station.

He also told her he was not scared about petrol bombing her house, they added.

Det Con Adele Thompson said: "Simcock has inflicted a great deal of pain and suffering on the two brave women in this investigation, who have shown tremendous courage in coming forward."

Simcock has been remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 9 July.
