Teens bailed after man who was punched died

Two teenagers who were arrested on suspicion of murder following a death of a man who was punched in the face have been released on bail.

Gloucestershire Police were called to Honeybourne Way in Cheltenham at about 19:30 BST on Wednesday to reports two males on Millennium Bridge had thrown a large branch at a cyclist below.

The cyclist was not injured but when the males were later approached by another man, 73, one of them punched him in the face, the force said. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition and died on Friday.

Two boys - aged 16 and 17 - who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail, police said.

The victim's next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
