The A1 has reopened following a serious collision near Newark.

Emergency services were called to the scene, between Winthorpe and North Muskham, at about 21:00 BST on Friday.

Traffic caught in the closure on Friday was released as emergency services dealt with the crash.

The road remained shut in both directions for about 12 hours and reopened at about 09:30 on Saturday.
