Hotelier and sister deny murdering 100-year-old mother
BBCA hotelier and his sister have appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to murdering their 100-year-old mother.
Jeremy Mogford, 78, from Oxford, and 72-year-old Sarah Pickering, from Guildford, are both charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.
Pamela Mogford, aged 100, died on 15 February 2022 in Bledlow Ridge, Buckinghamshire.
Her son and daughter appeared at Oxford Crown Court in front of High Court judge The Honourable Mr Justice Johnson KC, where they entered their pleas. A trial is due to begin at the same court on 9 November and the pair were released on unconditional bail.
Jeremy Mogford founded various independent hotels and restaurants in Oxford, including the Old Bank Hotel and Old Parsonage Hotel, Quod Restaurant, Parsonage Grill and Gee's Restaurant.
