Man stabbed in leg at Barry Island

An investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed at Barry Island on Bank Holiday Monday.

South Wales Police said his leg was wounded but that his injuries were neither life threatening or life changing.

Insp Lisa Gore said: "A team of officers are carrying out arrest inquiries for the suspect."

She added that the force was appealing for witnesses.
