Armed police respond to plane crashing into other aircraft after skidding off runway
Fife JammersA plane crashed into several other aircraft after skidding beyond its landing site at an airfield in Fife - sparking a response from armed police.
Fire crews were called to Fife Airport, just outside Glenrothes, at about 10:45 following reports of the light aircraft leaving the runway and striking grounded planes.
Armed police, who were in the area at time of the incident, also responded to the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said no-one was injured and no further action was taken.
