Attempted murder arrest after stabbing in town

An attempted murder arrest has been made following a stabbing in a town centre in Derbyshire.

Emergency services were called to South Street in Ilkeston at about 18:30 BST on Friday after reports a man had been stabbed.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, said Derbyshire Police, who remains in police custody.

No details have been released on the condition of the victim.
