A multiplex cinema has reopened after a car crashed into its entrance.

The Odeon Luxe in Northampton had been closed for safety checks after a car crashed into it at about 08:55 BST on Saturday.

Northamptonshire Police said no-one was injured but both the doors to the cinema, and a Volkswagen car sustained "significant damage".

Odeon suspended bookings following the crash but a spokesperson said it had reopened at 17:00 the same day and was continuing to trade as normal.
