Humberside Police is warning about parking near zebra crossings after 68 drivers were issued with penalties since the start of the year on one Cleethorpes street.

CCTV cameras were installed by North East Lincolnshire Council on St Peters Avenue after complaints "on a daily basis", the force said.

Footage is passed on to the Humberside Police Op Snap online platform.

Penalties can include a £100 fine and three points on a driving licence.

In a social media post, the force said: "Vehicles parking on the approach to a zebra crossing is both illegal and dangerous.

"There is no excuse or reason to park on a zebra crossing, and it will not be tolerated."
