Man seriously injured in stabbing during robbery
BBCA man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed during a suspected shop robbery in Barnsley, police said.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to Pontefract Road in Lundwood at 20:50 BST on Thursday following reports a man had been attacked at the Todays Express store.
The 40-year-old victim was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition, although he has since stabilised, South Yorkshire Police said.
The force has increased patrols in the area and appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
