Tractor driver arrested after firefighters injured

A tractor driver has been arrested after five firefighters were injured during a crash as they went to tackle a fire in Sark.

Guernsey Police said the incident happened on Friday while the fire crew was heading to the scene on Little Sark's south cliffs. A Facebook post from Guernsey Fire Service said all five suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The force said the driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released on bail.

"At the time police ensured that the priority of all emergency services in Sark remained tackling the fire, however enquiries are now ongoing," a police spokesperson added.
