Police want to speak to a man and woman who were the first on the scene of the fatal crash

Two key witnesses to a fatal crash in Shopshire on Easter Sunday are being urged to come forward by police.

A man died in the crash which only involved a Ford Fiesta and happened at about 14:45 BST on the B5063 between Shawbirch and Longdon-on-Tern.

The 86-year-old, who was driving the Fiesta, died the following day from his injuries.

West Mercia Police said they were keen to trace a man and a woman in a dark-coloured saloon-style car, possibly an Audi, who were the first people on the scene after the crash, adding that they might be key witnesses and were not in any trouble.

A spokesperson for the force said it was believed the vehicle crashed into a hedge and then came to a stop in the carriageway.

They added that anyone who was in the area at the time and or had dashcam footage, to come forward.
