Man who died after falling from motorbike named
West Yorkshire PoliceA motorcyclist who died after being seriously injured falling from his bike has been named by police.
Daniel Backhouse-Dyson, 42, was travelling on a red Honda motorcycle on the A641 Bradford Road in Huddersfield when he came off the vehicle at about 19:40 BST on Monday. No other vehicles were involved, police said.
In a statement issued via West Yorkshire Police, his family described him as a "loving son" and "devoted dad" who would be missed by all.
The force has appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or events leading up to it to contact them.
In the statement, his relatives went on to say: "Daniel was a loving son of Val and Paul Backhouse.
"A devoted dad to Sonny. A kind and caring brother to Gemma, Zoe, Samantha and the late Anna Backhouse and a loving uncle to Shay, Kacey and Annalise.
"Daniel was always full of life and tales of his doings whilst putting the world to rights. As a family we will miss his funny stories and his contagious laugh that will live on through his son.
"He will be dearly missed by us all."
