Firefighters are tackling a "large fire" at a closed visitor attraction.

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said it was called to the Occombe Farm attraction, near Paignton, at about 04:07 BST and found the old cookery school building engulfed by flames.

The fire service said four crews from Torquay, Paignton and Newton Abbot attended the incident and ensured the fire did not spread to surrounding grassland, but the building involved was "completely destroyed by the flames".

The attraction closed in October after the charity which ran it entered liquidation due to financial challenges. Torbay Council recently announced plans to sell the site to developer Greendale.
