Twelve fire crews tackle large joinery blaze
Suffolk Fire and Rescue ServiceTwelve fire crews are tackling a large blaze at a joinery.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue was called to Lodge Road in Hollesley just before 09:00 BST.
A spokesperson said the fire had spread within a 30m by 15m building, where cylinders were stored and where there was an asbestos roof.
No casualties have been reported and attendance by The Salvation Army has been requested for crew welfare.
George King/BBCCrews from Ipswich, Saxmundham, Felixstowe, Framlingham, Beccles and other Suffolk stations are in attendance.
The fire was under control by about 11:10 and fire investigation officers arrived at the scene.
At 12:40 a fire spokesperson added that good progress had been made and four relief crews were due to arrive to support firefighters.
George King/BBCStation manager Alex Smith said when the first crew arrived it was apparent the fire was "extremely well developed".
Due to the rural nature of the area, a decision was taken to request further crews, he added.
"We do have to say a massive thank you to the local community and the farmers who are here and have really helped us with the water supply today," Smith said.
"[They have been] supplying bowsers and helping us wherever they can to tackle this fire."
He added the fire had spread to neighbouring hedges due to the current heatwave causing extremely dry conditions.
He urged the public to remain "super cautious" during the hot weather.
