Kirkham U15s

Kirkham JFC

By Peter Woods
It was a mixed week for Kirkham JFC...

Under 9s:

Kirkham Juniors 1-1 Foxhall “A”

After a slow start, and conceding a sloppy goal, Kirkham recovered their form to dominate this game. Man Of The Match Adam D was unlucky on two occasions as he dominated midfield. Charlie B was ever dangerous with his pace up front, but it was left to Conor M to score the equaliser.

Kirkham Juniors 1-0 Foxhall “B”

Kirkham completely dominated this game. With the Foxhall keeper having the game of a lifetime the crowd were left to wonder how the score stayed at 1-0. The only goal was a sharp finish from Tom J. Such was the pressure that Man Of The Match defender Lewis M played the whole game in Foxhall’s half. With the ball raining on the Foxhall goal from everywhere - a superb penalty save was the icing on the cake!

Under 9s:

JFC Kirkham 4-2 Warton Typhoons “A”

Warton spent most of the game in the Kirkham half, but thanks to some great breaks and superb passing between the midfield and strikers, Kirkham scored four very impressive goals. Warton hit back with two late goals, but keeper Connor Tattersall made some fantastic saves. Excellent displays from James T, Ben W and Josh E.

JFC Kirkham Juniors 0-1 Warton Typhoons “B”

Some outstanding play from Lewis B-W gave Kirkham several scoring opportunities but no goals. A break from Warton sent them a goal up and despite a nail-biting last few minutes, Kirkham could not score the equaliser they deserved. Great defending from Jordan T and Sam R, with great wing play from Lewis B-W.

Under 15s:

South Shore 1-2 Kirkham Juniors

Craig B finished a one on one to put Kirkham in front in this hard fought game at Common Edge Road, Jack C then took his chance and finished well to put Kirkham 2-0 up at half time.

In the second half Shore pulled one back from a re-taken free kick but Kirkham held firm and got a well deserved win.
