Kirkham JFC

Kirkham JFC

By Peter Woods
Kirkham U15s were the only side in action this weekend...but they clocked up a 5-1 win!

Under 15s:

Kirkham Juniors 5-1 Wyre Juniors

Kirkham were on form at Coronation Rd and took the lead early when Danny M lobbed the keeper from a long throw from Glen M flicked on by Carl S.

Sam Y made it 2-0 to Kirkham at half time.

Wyre came back into the game to take an early 2nd half goal but Kirkham continued to impress. Craig B lobbed the keeper from a Carl S cross, then Carl S finished off from a Craig Burke run, Ross Ainsworth made it 5 for Kirkham who took 3 pts from the league leaders.

The Wyre keeper made a number of excellent saves, but couldn’t stop Kirkham’s twelve month unbeaten run.

  • Kirkham’s next opponents are Accrington Stanley JFC in the Semi-Final of the Lancashire FA Youth Cup, to be played on Sunday 7 January at Lammack Road, Blackburn.
