Under 9s:JFC Kirkham 1-0 Layton Juniors AJosh E, James T and Ben W controlled the midfield and a first half goal from Ben W was enough. Good second half defending by James Tuffy, Benedict LeSaint and in particular Andy Reynolds ensured JFC Kirkham got their reward. A further tremendous shot from Jordan P and two further goals from James H (his first hat-trick) gave JFC Kirkham the points they deserved. Rhys P, Ollie S and Jordan T kept out any Layton attacks and ensured a clean sheet, but it was an excellent display from the whole team. Under 10s:BJFF 1-3 Kirkham Juniors AAfter a shaky start Kirkham finished comfortable winners on a soggy Blackpool pitch. Tom G opened the scoring with a tap in after fine wing play from man of the match James B. Conor M doubled the lead as he broke through on the goal, skilfully rounding the keeper. Tom G scored the third with a low drive from well outside the box. There was still time for the BJFF keeper to make a great penalty save after a foul on Conor. BJFF 0-1 Kirkham Juniors BKirkham dug in deep to keep out BJFF after an excellent solo goal from Jackson A and a skilful team display from everyone. Taking the ball from his own half he ran through before calmly sliding the ball past the keeper. In midfield, man of the match Adam D and Tom J were tireless, helped by some crucial saves from keeper Giles L and resolute defending from Lewis M and Will H. Under 14s:Kirkham Juniors 1-3 South ShoreThe first half saw Kirkham dominate a good South Shore team, with South Shore not having a shot at goal. Kirkham took the lead from a looping shot from outside the area by Gareth L that the keeper couldn’t hold. Despite creating more chances the South Shore keeper kept them at bay. Despite a bright start to the second half South Shore equalized through a great strike then went on to score 2 more break away goals. Under 15s:Lytham Juniors 0-5 Kirkham JuniorsCraig Burke got Kirkham off to an early lead with a header and completed his hat trick by half time as Kirkham took control of this local derby.
