Under 9s:Poulton Youth 1-1 Kirkham Juniors “A”Kirkham secured a hard earned point after overcoming everything Poulton and the weather could throw at them. Down to an early goal, Tom G capped a man of the match performance by crossing the ball for Sam T to calmly side foot the ball home for the equaliser. Goalkeeper Brody C made a number of excellent saves as Poulton pressed for their second goal. Todd R and James B were always a threat with Tom on the break. Poulton Youth 0-1 Kirkham Juniors “B”Top scorer Conor M finally broke the deadlock with a low shot into the corner of the net. In a game Kirkham dominated from start to finish, a combination of the woodwork and a fine performance by the Poulton keeper kept the score respectable. As the unlucky Tom J and Adam D peppered the goal, man of the match Will H pushed forward for the winner. Charlie B rounded off a fine display with a vicious left foot shot after a fast break. Under 10s:Kirkham Juniors 4-1 Poulton Youth “A”Kirkham led 2-1 at the interval with goals from James P and Josh P. An excellent second half display from the team, with Daniel S in good form, and goals from Russell T and Daniel S gave Kirkham a well-deserved victory. Kirkham Juniors 1-0 Poulton Youth “B”The rain poured down throughout this fixture, but both teams battled hard as the spectators huddled under their umbrellas. A first half goal from Callum F was enough for Kirkham, with Bobby B man of the match. Under 15s:Lancs FA Youth Cup Quarter FinalEuxton Villa 1-3 Kirkham Juniors - after extra timeEuxton were quicker off the mark and took advantage of the strong wind, a lapse in concentration in defence gave them the lead at half time. In the 2nd half Kirkham levelled with an excellent free kick from the captain Danny M in the opening mins. Kirkham continued to press the Euxton keeper who made some outstanding saves. The game was level at full time 1-1 and went into extra time.
