Under 9s:JFC Kirkham 0-7 Staining “A”Benedict Le S, Andy R and Lewis B-W provided a strong defence but the Staining no.14 was on top form and kept breaking through. Keelan L showed what a great keeper he is and made some truly remarkable saves. Man of the match goes to Keelan L, but well done to everyone against a top team. JFC Kirkham 0-7 Staining “B”Jordan T and Rhys P put in some great tackles and made some great clearances, but Staining proved too strong. Morgan G made his JFC Kirkham debut, but it was difficult against strong opposition. Man of the Match goes to keeper Connor T for his continued improvement and bravery in goal. Under 10s:YMCA 0-1 Kirkham Juniors “A”YMCA did most of the attacking but James P stopped a number of attacks with some strong tackles. The first half ended goalless with KJFC doing most of the defending but YMCA lacking any real threat. The second half started too quickly for Kirkham, with YMCA scoring from their first attack. With the wind behind them YMCA continued to attack and keeper James L made some good saves. Russell T had two fine shots which the YMCA keeper saved well, and it was another 0-1 defeat, but the KJFC team can be proud of the hard-working performance they put in. Man of the Match:James P for a good performance at centre back. YMCA 0-1 Kirkham Juniors “B”From the off the KJFC team attacked at full speed, with Bradley W and Dec C setting the tone, and pushing YMCA back into their own half. Elliot S and Callum F both came close for Kirkham, but with only a minute left, YMCA broke away to snatch a goal. Bobby B came on as sub and Kirkham stayed on top, but they could score the equaliser. Man of the Match:Bradley W for all over the pitch action and some great tackles. Under 15s:Kirkham Juniors 3-2 Y.M.C.A.Kirkham were slow to start and went 1-0 down in the opening minutes of the game, Jack C headed home the equalizer and Adam C blasted home number two, putting the home side in front at the break. In the second half again YMCA took an early goal to level the match, Kirkham dominated this half but failed to put the ball away. Extra time was looming when Adam C scored from an excellent free kick.
