Kirkham JFC

Kirkham JFC

By Peter Woods
All the news on Kirkham's football week...

Under 9s:Kirkham Juniors 4-0 Poulton Youth A

A man of the match hat-trick performance from Conor M meant that at last the result matched the performance from Kirkham A. Will H and Lewis enjoyed the freedom to go forward as Kirkham piled on the pressure with Adam D scoring the 4th goal with a fine solo effort.

Kirkham Juniors 1-3 Poulton Youth B

Kirkham never recovered from conceding a goal early. Typical of the determination in the team, inspired man of the match Liam O scored a consolation goal late in the second half, capping the performance of a man possessed.

Under 10s:Kirkham Juniors 1-4 South Shore A

Nathan J kept Kirkham in the game with some great saves and the hard work of Elliot S and Daniel R always meant Kirkham were a threat on the break. But Kirkham took their eye off the ball in the second half, and only a consolation goal from Elliott S was Kirkham’s reward for some hard work.

Man of the Match:

David P for great commitment and non-stop running.

Kirkham Juniors 0-0 South Shore B

James P and Bradley W both put in some crucial work as both teams fought hard to gain the upper hand. The second half had a little more pace to it with Daniel S and Ritchie H combining well but all Kirkham’s efforts were long range punts or off target.

Although KJFC were the dominant team, South Shore always looked dangerous and Kirkham must be content with this draw.

Man of the Match:

Russell T another great game full of effort and energy

Under 14s:Kirkham Juniors 1-3 Lytham Juniors

Lloyd P gave K an early lead in this local derby at Coronation Road. Kirkham missed several chances before half-time and were made to pay in the second half, as ex-Kirkham player Danny T scored twice to snatch victory.
Daniel G and Matthew T came on as late substitutes, but Kirkham just couldn’t find the net .
