Under 9s:Coulton Cup Replay:Kirkham Juniors 1-0 South Shore A Birthday boy Conor M scored the opener in the first 5 minutes, breaking from midfield to slot the ball past the keeper. Despite South Shore pressure, keeper Brody C was rarely troubled as Man Of The Match Liam O, Sam M and Adam D defended magnificently. Todd R and James B always looked dangerous on the break as Kirkham held on for an excellent victory. Kirkham Juniors 2-0 South Shore B Despite a number of chances, Kirkham left it late, scoring both goals in the last 10 minutes. Man Of The Match Jackson A scored his first following up after the keeper had made a fine save from a fierce Tom G shot. His second came from a fine solo effort, after he dribbled past 2 defenders and chipped the ball past the keeper. With fine displays again from Lewis M, Will H and Giles L, Kirkham’s goal was never threatened. Under 10s:Kirkham Juniors 2-0 YMCA A After a goalless first half, keeper James L pulled off two fine saves to keep YMCA at bay. James P gave Kirkham the lead with a long range free kick Russell T then nipped behind the YMCA defence to ensure the win. Great defensive displays from Matt M, Daniel S and James P, but overall a fantastic team effort. Kirkham Juniors 0-2 YMCA B A goal in each half saw YMCA clinch the win over Kirkham. Bobby B and Richie H worked hard in defence, with Nathan J pulling off several fine saves and Charlie C having no luck up front. Man of the Match: Bobby B – big game, great tackles and always kept pushing forward. Under 15s:Hogan Cup Quarter Final: Kirkham Juniors 4-0 YMCARoss A got Kirkham off to a good start scoring two early goals. Sam Y made it 3-0 by the HT whistle. In the second half Craig B lobbed the keeper with an excellent long range effort. Kirkham dominated and YMCA failed to get a foothold on the game, it was an overall good team performance with everyone on form on the day.
