Match Reports

Kirkham JFC

Kirkham JFC

By Peter Woods
Kirkham JFC were on fire this weekend - winning all their games as Peter Woods reports.

Under 9s:Spirit of Youth 0-3 Kirkham Juniors A

Two goals from Conor M and one from Sam T sealed a comfortable victory. With the Spirit goal leading a charmed life, Adam D and man of the match Tom J were denied repeatedly by the woodwork, and heroic defending.

Spirit of Youth 2-3 Kirkham Juniors B

Goals from James B, Todd R and man of the match Tom G won Kirkham a tough match at a windy Common Edge. Liam O & Sam M defended stubbornly to keep the opposition out.

Under 10s:Kirkham Juniors 1-0 Spirit of Youth A

This was a much closer game than last week, and although Matt M and James P defended well, there was little teamwork until Russell T gave Kirkham the lead just before half time.

Kirkham could not convert their second half dominance into goals, but a man of the match display from Matt M ensured a close victory.

Kirkham Juniors 6-0 Spirit of Youth B

The deadlock was broken midway through the first half when Daniel R and Callum F scored before half time. A hat trick from man of the match Charlie C in the second half proved too much for Spirit with Elliott S claiming Kirkham’s sixth goal.

Under 14s:Kirkham Juniors 9-0 Warton Typhoons

Kirkham took an early lead through Richard R and were always in control as further goals from Lloyd P, Austin M and Richard R (again) saw them go in at 4-0 up at half-time. Lloyd P completed his hat trick in the second half and goals by Ryan C, James W and Gareth L sealed a 9-0 win, Kirkham’s first in the League this season.
