Under 9s:
JFC Kirkham 1-4 Squires Gate A
Fielding a team weakened by half term and illness, JFC Kirkham were always on the defensive. A solo effort from Ben W gave Kirkham a half time lead, but once the Squires Gate team finally managed to find the net the goals kept coming in. Some fine defending from Andy R and some great saves from Connor T kept the scoreline down.
JFC Kirkham 3-1 Squires Gate B
Keeper Keelan L was hardly troubled for most of the game, with outstanding play in midfield from Lewis B-W and Josh E. With two fine goals from Josh (and equally fine celebrations) and another from James H, Kirkham came away with a much deserved victory. Everyone gave their all in an entertaining game.
