It's a wild life living with nature

Resident Ray Clark Breakfast Show villain of the peace, Tom Warmington, got a taste of his own medicine for his birthday. After sending me on an army-style assault course and putting producer Alison onto a 'Bucking Bronco', it was payback time!

It's been another great week on the Ray Clark Breakfast Show, with loads of stuff that Planet Ray listeners have contributed to. Feel free to join in with the programme at any time; by phone, by fax, by e-mail, by text or even by letter!

Rock on Nanny

Planet Ray listener, Ann from Stanway, told us how envious she was of her little granddaughter going off to Glastonbury.

Father and son at Glastonbury

"Play that Funky music"

Here's Ann: "Connie had a wonderful time at Glastonbury. (She is pictured here with her daddy, my son). She apparently loved all the colours and movement around her, attracted a lot of attention, happily smiled at everyone and slept through the music. She was as good as gold.

"They stayed there for over a week in the end and didn't really want to come home. Pity she won't remember it - but her proud parents will!"

So how many ponds have you been asked to open?

I'm thrilled. Lucy and her friends at Toppesfield Primary School have invited me to the opening of their school pond on Monday.

Ray's school invite

This invite made Ray's week

So when I replied and said that I'd be there, the invitation was extended to actually cut the ribbon. Listen to the Ray Clark Breakfast Show on Tuesday for more information.

I told Tom, I don't think he was too impressed, but I soon put him in his place by asking, "Just how many ponds have you been asked to open?". He was lost for words and that's after I arranged a wonderful day out at Colchester zoo for him to celebrate his birthday...

Here's Tom (no age divulged) Warmington

"For the last month I've been dreading my birthday surprise from the Breakfast team. Admittedly I really did put Ray through his paces when he turned 54, so I was ready for all they could throw at me!

Giraffe

A concerned resident complains about the noise!

"Luckily no one did throw anything at me because that would have been awful. Ray arranged for me to have a lovely day out at Colchester Zoo, the catch was that I had to clear up after some particularly messy animals who had eaten very well!

"I got very close to the giraffes and the elephants (in fact a little too close to the elephants). I'm still getting the smell of dung out of my clothes now.

"A Happy Birthday all round."

The story that you help to write

Cracking story this week, we've had a murder - and Colin, Angela, Anne, The Story Lady were all responsible...
