Ian Wyatt gets ready to rumble

Ian was prepared for a week on brekkie!

Welcome to Wyatt's World

With Ray off on his school holidays, it's Ian Wyatt's turn to keep you up to date with the comings and goings of the Ray Clark Breakfast Show.

Ray's had a week off to catch up on some sleep, so it was my pleasure to step into his shoes. It was a bit of a squeeze actually, given that they are two sizes smaller!

We've met some great guests and had some great calls, so thanks for making me feel welcome.

A12 - the worst road in Europe?

BBC Essex reporter Richard Smith has been on the case of one of the county's most notorious constructions:

"The A12 is probably one of the worst roads in Europe. That's what the leader of Essex County Council, Lord Hanningfield told us, as we watched the traffic from Sandon.

The A12 in a rare quite moment

"The authority has commissioned an inquiry into the road. It will look at improving the running of the route, safety measures and the possibility of widening it to three lanes.

"Sir David Rowlands, who's chairing the inquiry, described getting stuck in an A12 jam for two hours. He said: 'The experience certainly helped reinforce my interest in improving it'.

"The results of the inquiry should be known this summer."

A happy ending?

We'll never know if Melissa got the audition, but if you missed any part of our Story That You Write this week, you can catch up here:
