Shani says 'she can't wait' - or should that be 'can't weight' Smelly nappies soon...Shani and babies are doing well, and the happy day is very soon. Keep listening for the details of the birth (don't worry, not ALL the details). Good luck to all involved along the way. ![]() Shani and slimline Claire Sawyer Meanwhile, Claire takes care of the news while Shani is on maternity leave, and Claire, who'd just returned from her weekly weigh-in, just gets thinner. ![]() Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew... and RayYet another fabulous cartoon from Gordon of Colchester - the official cartoonist for Planet Ray, and a bit of a mystery man. Gordon, we'd like to invite you in - but we don't know where to find you... ![]() Planet Ray listener Tess gets creative Planet Ray listener Tess has been busy with her computer and e-mailed this. Tess, you have too much time on your hands! Sing for England on St George's DayMake sure you join The Ray Clark Breakfast Show on England's Day - Wednesday, 23, April. It'd be great if you can get to Thaxted church at 8.45; roving reporter Major Tom will be there and, while stocks last, will be offering refreshments. But if you can't get to Thaxted you can join in by singing a 'Song for England' wherever you are in Essex. Old Gustav Holst had a gaff in Thaxted at one time and while he was there he composed The Planet Suite. ![]() Sing for England on St Georges Jupiter, part of The Planets, was first played on the organ in Thaxted church by the man himself. Part of Jupiter is the tune to 'I vow to thee my country'; not only is it one of God's greatest hits, but it's also called Thaxted. With the Scots, Irish and Welsh having their own song we nominate this most beautiful of tunes for the English.
