Why some Hausa Kannywood actors dey leave Triple R group wey dey support Tinubu?

Recently some Kannywood actors don dey leave one group wey some pipo for di industry form to promote President Tinubu and im APC party ahead of di 2027 election.

Di latest pesin wey announce say e don comot from Triple R Kannywood for Renewed Hope na popular actor Rabiu Rikadawa.

E tok say e leave di group bicos of wetin e call "lack of transparency and failure to follow di rules of di group."

Bifor Rikadawa, oda popular pipo like Mansura Isa, well-known scriptwriter Ibrahim Birniwa, and actor Yusuf Sasen don also announce say dem don comot from di group.

Dis no be di first time wey Kannywood get disagreement afta dem form political group.

Even for 2023, di industry form one group wey dem call 13x13 to promote politicians, but di group run into wahala sake of say some members complain say unity no dey.

Triple R (Renewed Hope) group na one political organization wey members of Hausa film industry (Kannywood) for northern Nigeria form, lead by popular political singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara.

Why some members dey comot?

Some of di members wey leave accuse di group of no treating evribodi fairly.

Rabiu Rikadawa, one of di latest members wey comot, tell BBC say na bicos of wetin happun afta one official trip to Gombe State make e leave.

"Wen dem form Triple R, dem tell us say anybodi wey join di group no go join any oda political group again. Dem do am to make unity strong and strengthen di group," e tok.

E explain say bifor dem join Triple R, dem already get anoda group wey dem dey use meet politicians, and dem don even arrange meeting wit President Tinubu pikin, Seyi Tinubu.

"Wen we join Triple R, we tell dem say we already get appointment wit Seyi Tinubu. Dem agree say when di time reach, make we go see am, but afta dat, we no go organise any meeting again except under Triple R," e tell BBC.

E say when di date for di meeting wit Seyi reach, Triple R come arrange one trip to Gombe too.

"We tell dem say we get anoda visit for Minna, and afta dat we go meet Seyi for Abuja. We arrange all dis bifor we join Triple R, and dem approve am," e tok.

E say when dem reach Abuja, dem no fit meet Seyi Tinubu, so dem travel overnight go Gombe to join oda Triple R members for one official programme and meeting with di state govnor.

"We reach Gombe by road for night. Afta we collect hotel room and wan sleep, dem call us from Abuja say Seyi go meet us di next day, so we no get choice but to return to Abuja," e tok.

'Dem no give us di money wey dem share for Gombe'

E say bifor dem travel, dem inform di group leaders, especially di secretary Ahmad Bifa, wey tell dem make dem go and promise say e go explain dia absence to di oda leaders.

"So we begin journey dat same night and reach Abuja di next day to meet Seyi," Rikadawa tok.

Di Kannywood actor say afta dem finish di meeting wit Seyi, dem wan go back to Gombe but dem hear say di Gombe assignment don finish within one day and evribodi don return.

"But wetin surprise us be say di money wey di group get for Gombe dem share am, but dem no give us anytin. Dem say dos of us wey no complete di trip be di same as pipo wey no even attend," e explain.

E say dem kontinu to follow up di matter, but later dem tell dem say dem no dey among people wey go collect di money.

"Person travel overnight from Minna to Gombe, den from Gombe to Kano and Abuja, all by road and for night, den when dem share money, dem no even give am transport or fuel money?"

Triple R leaders reply

But di group leaders reject wetin Rikadawa tok, say na personal interest make am leave Triple R.

Di secretary-general of di group, Ahmad Bifa, tok say dos wey leave dey put dia personal interest bifor di interest of di group.

E add say dem leave bicos dem prefer make only dem go meet politicians and collect money.

E say nobodi for Kannywood know big politicians pass Rarara.

"So if Rarara decide to help members and later decide to handle im own matter alone, no politician dey wey Rarara go ask to see and dem no go allow am within less dan one day," e tok.

"Even di President know Rarara personally and sabi di support wey e don give bifor and wey e still go give. If e fit sacrifice wetin e for gain just to bring pipo togeda make dem help each oda, no reason dey for anybodi to disagree," e add.

Ahmad Bifa also tok say nobodi fit leave di group make e die except Rarara himsef.

"Na only if Rarara leave today person fit say Triple R don die," e tok.

E also say since dem form di group, nobodi don ever arrange meeting wit any politician except Rarara.

'Dem too go Abuja go find money'

Ahmad Bifa admit say na im give dem permission to travel Abuja and promise to keep di matter secret witout telling di group leaders bicos e wan protect dem as colleagues.

E say Rikadawa and im pipo no give di Gombe assignment di importance wey e deserve.

"If dem value di Gombe assignment, dem for stay. Wetin Seyi for give dem, na di same tin we for get for Gombe," e tok.

E also admit say e make mistake by no telling Rarara about Rikadawa and im group's excuse, but e say e do am to protect dem.

Di Triple R secretary accuse Rikadawa and im pipo say dem too go Abuja to find money from Seyi.

"Dem abandon Gombe bicos dem believe say dem go collect money from Seyi. So wetin wrong if pipo wey stay for Gombe collect money while dem no collect?"
