Halifax and Sutton traded stoppage-time goals as their National League meeting ended in a dramatic 1-1 draw.

After a goalless 90 minutes, Halifax looked like they had clinched a third straight victory when defender Max Bardell scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

But a minute later David Ogbonna poked home an equaliser at the other end as Sutton avoided a fourth defeat in five games.

The late excitement was not in keeping with the rest of the game.

Ben Tollitt forced a good save from Sutton goalkeeper Spike Brits while True Grant kept out Temi Babalola at the other end in a game of little drama until the end.
