Kane Hemmings and Matty Kosylo were on target as Altrincham won 2-1 at high-flying Fylde for their fifth win in six National League games.

Kosylo set up Hemmings for the opener with a cross from the right in the 15th minute.

Fylde hit back almost immediately as Tom Whelan beat Andy Firth from close range.

But parity lasted only three minutes as Kosylo struck from an angle to find the top corner.

Fylde went close to an equaliser early in the second half when Aaron Drewe made a goal-line clearance to deny Jimmy Knowles and Altrincham hung on.
