Yeovil registered their first National League win of the season after producing a dominant victory over Gateshead at Huish Park.

On the back of two successive draws, the Glovers led inside two minutes with an excellent effort from Stephen Walker before a late Luke McCormick brace put a more realistic look to the scoreline.

Gateshead goalkeeper Peter Jameson twice saved each from Ryan Jones and McCormick, while Luke Supyk forced Glovers keeper Jos Barker into action midway through the first half.

Jones hit the crossbar and Jameson denied McCormick again before the Glovers finally added a deserved second with nine minutes left through the former Bristol Rovers midfielder, who notched another in the closing stages.
