Ken Aboh's second-half goal made the difference as Boston United secured a home victory against Altrincham.

The visitors looked the likelier side to open the scoring in the first half, when Jimmy Knowles got Altrincham's attack started with a seventh-minute volley that sailed just over.

The Pilgrims came out with more intent after the break and Sai Sachdev was denied at the back post before Aboh finally found the back of the net in the 57th minute.

The Norwich loanee nearly added a second moments later, but his effort was just wide.
