Carlisle kickstarted their National League season with an emphatic victory over Hornchurch at Brunton Park.

The Cumbrians had picked up only a point from their opening two games but did not look back after Miguel Azeez's unstoppable drive from 30 yards put them ahead at the break.

Harvey Bunker curled home another brilliant finish inside a minute of the restart before Joe Kizzi pulled a goal back from the visitors, who had started with two wins from two.

Bunker made it three goals in two games in the 66th minute to restore Carlisle's two-goal advantage and Regan Linney, who scored 23 goals in all competitions last season, got his campaign up and running with 15 minutes left to wrap up the points.
