Di Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) don arraign di national president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Association, Bello Bodejo, for di Federal High Court Abuja, sake of alleged wuruwuru wey pass 2.3 million dollars.

Badejo dey face 12 counts of corruption for allegedly receiving big sum of money for foreign currency in cash, wey dey against di law. E plead not guilty to all di counts.

One of di charges tok say oga Badejo on 11 January 2022, bin "knowingly and willingly" accept cash payment of $100,000 in cash from one Sa'idu Abubakar, wey be di former Accountant-General of Bauchi State.
Di EFCC tok say di Sa'idu Abubakar also currently dey for di custody of di Nigeria police.
For anoda charge, di anti-corruption commission claim say Badejo on 7 February 2024, bin receive anoda $980,000, and anoda $500,000 for March 2024 from di same Sa'idu Abubakar, all in cash.
Badejo plead not guilty to all di 12-count charges and im lawyer, Ahmed Raji, beg di court to grant am bail.
However, di EFCC lawyer, Wahab Shittu, oppose di bail application as e tok say di defendant na public risk, so e go good make di court remand am for di Kuje correctional facility.
Justice Inyang Ekwo wey be di presiding judge for di mata, give order make Badejo remain for prison custody until 20 July wen e go rule on di bail application.
Remember say di Department of State Services (DSS) bin don arrest and detain Mr Badejo on 9 December 2024, but as dem no formally charge am to court, on 30 December, Justice Mohammed Zubairu give order make dem release am.
