Vision OnSad news, with the announcement of the death of TV presenter Tony Hart. Generations of children have grown up watching his programmes on television and millions of kids must have drawn pictures and sent them in. Voice of The News - Claire and our Sports Man Ben 'Deep Fat' Fryer took on the task of producing a world winning picture. Claire's attempt shows promise, but Ben's effort appears to be very similar to a Leonardo da Vinci painting currently hanging in The Louvre... ![]() Looks familiar - Is it THE White House? An unprecedented presidential perceptionTuesday was a landmark day, with the world hoping that the new American President, Barack Obamha can 'come up with the goods'. We were looking for an Essex connection with the States, and there are plenty: George Washington's link with Purleigh, the Bush family and Messing, Billericay and Harwich with The Pilgrim Fathers. But it was the similarities between Hylands House in Chelmsford and the White House in Washington that we sent Natalie off to investigate. "I need a photo of you on the steps of The White House" was the task that I set her. ![]() Looks a good fit Natalie Posh FrocksWith all the doom and gloom surrounding the business world, The Ray Clark Breakfast Show wanted to hear from anyone bucking the trend with a thriving company. Ruth from Wakes Colne stepped forward, telling us about her company that sells-on wedding dresses. Ruth's company, 'Bridal Re-Dress', splits the proceeds between the former owner, their favourite charity and a bit for herself. We sent Natalie, complete with dainty footwear, to check out the party dresses ![]() Can you name that tune in one? A Singing Rat - I think it's been done beforeI just couldn't believe that the voices of news and sport on The Planet Ray, Claire and Ben, had never heard of a Stylophone. I just had to bring BOTH of mine in - the original from 1972 and the very latest version. Within minutes Ben had got a recognisable tune from it. ![]() Squirrel? I thought it was a rat! It was while I searched for the Stylophones that I came across my musical rat - the one that sings and dances to Wild Thing. It looked very much like the black squirrels that have recently been discovered... but can sing better than they can! The Story 'wot' you writeSally has written the whole story this week. Take a listen and what about you writing next weeks' story?
